Greetings, my name is Demetris, and I am honored to be the founder of the Wooden Pub. Allow me to take a moment to welcome you to our page and share with you the story of how this establishment came to be.
In 2013, I was a photographer and had rented a shop to operate a photo studio. Unfortunately, the venture was unsuccessful, and I soon realizes that I needed to make a change. I approached the landlord to request an early termination of my two-year lease, but she denied my request. However, instead of giving up, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity and pursue my dream of opening a small bar.
With only €2,000 in my pocket and no prior experience in the bar industry, I put all my efforts into launching the Wooden Pub in early 2014. The beginning was a real struggle, but with hard work and determination, we managed to overcome obstacles and establish a strong foundation. Today, our establishment has grown and expanded beyond my wildest dreams, and i am so proud to continue serving our loyal customers with delicious drinks and a friendly atmosphere.
When it came time to choose a name for our pub, the inspiration came from the materials used to decorate our establishment - wood. During the early days, I put a lot of hard work into building the pub from scratch. However, as the opening day approached, I still had not settled on a name.
One night, after a long day of work, I sat on the floor and admired what i have done in the place. As I looked around, I noticed the abundance of wood and suddenly had an epiphany. "Let's name it the Wooden Pub," I declared to myself, and that was that.
And so, the name was born. It's simple, memorable, and perfectly embodies the essence of our establishment. I take pride in using natural materials such as wood to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
